This all new smart sized crossover from Mitsubishi will hit showrooms this fall. With Galant based running gear, the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport will have a 2.0 liter, 148-hp 4-cylinder engine. The "light" body is constructed with recycled materials and thinner high-strength steel to balance performance along with fuel-efficiency. The Sport is front-wheel drive, but will come with an optional all-wheel drive system. The vehicle's onboard batteries are recharged using friction during breaking. The 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport will come equipped with seven air bags, Active Stability Control and Hill Start Assist which helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards.
Inside you will find a sporty modern cockpit with a premium soft touch interior. Mitsubishi will offer FUSE, a hands-free technology using Bluetooth for answering phone calls and controlling the entertainment system.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport will also come as a SE model with features such as automatic climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, rain sensing windshield wipers, heated front seats, and keyless entry as standard. Options include a large picturesque sunroof, a navigation system with seven-inch screen, and a Rockford Fosgate audio system.
